REGISTRATION NOTE : Once you are registered for a ride, you will see your name in the Registered Riders tab. It may take a day or so for it to appear. Registered riders WILL be sent a "Last Minute Notes" email the day after registration closes, normally the Thursday before the ride. If you do not receive it, please let me know. Also, check your spam folder for the email.

Your destination on Humboldt Mountain

This route will explore numerous nice cycling areas in the far North Phoenix valley. The highlight will be the tough climb of Humboldt Mountain to the microwave tower sitting atop it. There are a few miles of hardpacked forest roads to get there, but the climb itself is newly paved. It's a tough climb, but the views are worth the effort getting there! Make sure you have good brakes. You will need them on the steep descent. Also, bring your camera. You will snap some photos!

Directions:  Take AZ-51 to Union Hills Dr exit. Go west for about 1 mile to Cortado Coffee on Northeast Corner of 32nd St & Union Hills Dr. It is just east of the CVS Pharmacy.
There is a Park and Ride lot at PV Community College on the SE Corner
Other businesses are located on this corner. CVS Pharmacy, Circle K, Subway, Pizza Shop

This route climbs roughly 5,600' total feet. It's mostly up getting there, then down coming back. The climb up to Humboldt is one you won't forget!

Cue sheets may be downloaded and printed by riders if they wish. Cue sheets will NOT be passed out at the start. Make sure you have a cue sheet as a backup in case your GPS fails.
