REGISTRATION NOTE: Once you are registered for a ride, you will see your name in the Registered Riders tab. It may take a day or so for it to appear. Registered riders WILL be sent a "Last Minute Notes" email the day after registration closes, normally the Thursday before the ride. This will highlight any route updates, construction, etc. that needs to be communicated. If you do not receive it, please let me know. Also, check your spam folder for the email.

Sears-Kay Ruins

EOP (End of Pavement) is a popular local ride up into the Carefree Foothills. It's mostly a gently climb all the way to the turnaround, then a gentle descent back to the Valley. I ride this quite often in the summer so that I can climb when it's coolest and descend back into the heat. In the winter, this is delightful!

Directions: Take AZ-51 to Union Hills Dr exit. Go west for about 1 mile to Cortado Coffee on Northeast Corner of 32nd St & Union Hills Dr. It is just east of the CVS Pharmacy.
There is a Park and Ride lot at PV Community College on the SE Corner
Other businesses are located on this corner. CVS Pharmacy, Circle K, Subway, Pizza Shop

This route climbs roughly 3000' total feet. It's mostly a steady climb, but has some steep pitches just before the turnaround. The return is Fast and fun!
